I was reminded (thanks annonymous!) to look up a band called Funkydory, you can check them out here
where you can also listen to soundclips from their album. I must say I was quite impressed. As well as having a great Bowiesque name they are actually really good. Sort of folky in places but with blues, jazz and rock as well, and the feamle singer has a great voice - well worth a listen!
